InnerCircle is a conceptual UI/UX design that consists of a social music app where users are encouraged to create networks of their friends and influencers in order to share and explore new music finds.
I was assigned to create a music app that perfectly targeted and catered to a specific persona. I designed InnerCircle for people who are social, love to share music, and are always looking to recieve the latest recommendations. In designing the user interface I focused on what the targeted audience is already familiar with and how I could manipulate that information to create a unique experience. For example I created icons that are recognizable but haven't been used in the same context or in this combination. From start to finish I drew inspiration from the name of the app and utilized circles in several asspects of my design.
I decided to name the app InnerCircle because I wanted to create an experience that alllowed users to create a music sharing network based on those they were close to and already share music with. The logo is abstractly based on this idea because users are the center of their own music networks which are always open and expanding, like the ripples in a pool of water.
After refining and finally solidifing the design the app, I created a landing page website mockup that would promote the app and help explain the purpose of the app. In designing this app I wanted to make sure to include elements of the app design including colors, fonts, and visual aspects. The goal was to create a unifying theme that would seamlessly connect the InnerCircle app and website. Also, I made sure to keep my initial persona in mind and make sure to create imagery that would catter to them the most.
